Seattle by lana pribic

It feels like it has been forever since I found myself wandering alone in a new city taking photos, eating food, and just being quiet and thinking. Moody winter light, shadows, and silhouettes really inspired me on this trip while I was snapping away on my camera. I really enjoyed this trip that I took on my own. After Andria’s massively inspirational boudoir workshop I gave myself two days to wander, eat, shop, and just sit and think about where I’m heading.

All I have to say is - THINGS ARE IN MOTION AND I AM EXCITED.

Seattle is awesome. So lush and green in January. Everything is so local. It’s a little ecosystem and community of its own that could probably function on it’s own if it needed to. Plus. Mountains.

Things I did:

Stay: Ace Hotel

Eat + Drink: AgroDolce // The Walrus and the Carpenter // Mamnoon // Umi // Salt & Straw // Molly Moons // Storyville Coffee // OddFellows

Shop: The Vintage Mall // Essenza // Pipe and Row // all the little shops in Fremont

Here is a recent boudoir session from my boudoir event in collaboration with Make-up and Hair Artist Gracie Myers. She did an incredible job catering to each girls needs and highlighting their individual natural beauty. Also, a huge thank you to Prince Arthur Hotel for having us, and to gorgeous Maggie for permission to share the photos from her session.

The more boudoir I shoot… The more I am realize it’s my calling and I want to commit to it. There are several ways that I will be expanding the boudoir experience in my business this year:

  • I am attending a boudoir workshop in Seattle in January hosted by a photographer who I have been following for literally like, 7 YEARS. She is the one who made me want to do this professionally. I am so eager to see what this experience will inspire in me.

  • I am so proud to now be offering heirloom quality fine art photo albums for my boudoir girls

  • I am seeking out HMUA’s in Toronto/GTA to have as an additional service for sessions

  • I am already thinking about manifesting my dream downtown studio… this is a longer term goal obviously, but it’s never too early to start thinking about it!
